Facts for peace of mind

Your rights and the robot’s guarantee

The robot seller’s liability arises from law. The manufacturer’s commercial guarantee is voluntary and applies under its terms. These are two separate sources of protection.

The seller’s liability

If you bought the robot as a consumer from a business, national rules implementing Directive (EU) 2019/771 make the seller liable for a lack of conformity that exists when the goods are delivered and becomes apparent within 2 years of delivery (Article 10(1)).

Under Article 11(1)–(2), a lack of conformity that becomes apparent within 1 year is presumed to have existed at delivery, unless proved otherwise or this presumption is incompatible with the nature of the goods or the lack of conformity. A country may provide a 2-year presumption.

You can request repair or replacement. Under the conditions of Article 13, you may instead be entitled to a proportionate price reduction or termination of the contract. These rights apply independently of the manufacturer’s guarantee.

National law may provide longer periods (Article 10(3)) — check the law that applies to your purchase and the seller’s terms.

The manufacturer’s guarantee

Under Article 17(1)–(2), the manufacturer’s commercial guarantee is binding on it under the conditions laid down in the guarantee statement and the associated advertising available at or before the conclusion of the contract. It does not limit your statutory rights against the seller.

The manufacturer may specify which damage is covered and which is excluded, including damage caused by liquids or accessories from other brands. Check your device’s guarantee terms and the manual for its exact variant.

Information about Mama’s RoboClean (Mama102)

The product label gives a dose for the tank in the robot: “Add 10 ml of liquid to 200 ml of water in the robot’s tank. Excessive detergent may cause streaks.” The label gives no dose for the large dock water tank or the separate dock solution container. On this website we give Mama Margaret tips for them: the same proportion for the dock clean-water tank (10 ml for every 200 ml of water), and undiluted liquid for the dock solution container — the dock doses automatically. The robot manufacturer recommends its own liquid in the manual.

Warning: Causes serious eye irritation. Always follow the information on the product label.

We do not promise suitability for every robot or that its manufacturer will accept a guarantee repair. If manufacturer sources do not establish the setup of a particular variant, we show how to identify it by sight. Information about the tank’s construction is not a chemical test result for the liquid.

If a problem occurs

Stop using the liquid and keep the bottle with its batch number and documentation of the problem. A written service opinion will help when reporting a fault, if you have one. Describe the robot model and variant, where the liquid was poured, the dose and the symptoms observed.

Write to support@mama-margaret.com. The complaints and reporting procedure explains whom to contact and the reply period. We do not exclude our liability for the product.
